Laptops must be on the HC network, either HCWireless or plugged into the ethernet network. Printing is not available from off campus.
You may print to any of the following printers. Print jobs will stay in the queue for 2 hours, after which time the job will be deleted automatically.
Please be mindful of how much you are printing. To check your credits and to view your environmental impact, login to https://print.holycross.edu:9192/user using your network username and passphrase.
Alternative Printing Options

PaperCut Print Release Stations
Each of the printers listed in this document are set up as print release stations. To release your print job, enter your STAR username and password at the kiosk terminal next to the printer. A list of your print jobs will appear. Select the print job(s), select the printer, and then click Release. Check the corresponding printer for your document.
Students are allotted 250 credits to print each year. Students who run out of credits should should speak with the Dinand Library staff or the ITS Help Desk for an increase.
Windows Instructions
1. Click the Start menu. In the search bar, type: \\hcprint.holycross.edu\DLIB_READROOM_1 then press Return

2. In the login box, type your network Holycross.edu\username
Be sure to check the box to save your credentials.

Mac Instructions
***Make sure you are connected to the HCWireless network. If not, follow Steps 1-3 below. If you are already connected to HC Wireless, skip ahead to Step 4.
1. Click on the WiFi icon and select HCWireless from the available networks.
2. Enter your Holy Cross network username and passphrase, then click OK.
3. Click Continue, and enter your Mac username and passphrase to accept the Wireless Certificate. Then click Update Settings.
4. Open System Preferences and navigate to Printers & Scanners. Search for dlib and select dlib_readroom_1 from the list. Leave the use field on Secure AirPrint. Then click Add to install the printer.
You can install other available public printers following Step 4 and searching for their name. Here is a list of printer names to search for:
MRC (search for LABS_MRC_BW)
Science Library (search for SCILIB_READROOM1)
Music Library (search for MLIB_RR1)
O'Kane Library (search for OKANE_LAB1)
5. Open an Application on your Mac (ex. MS Word) and try to print. Once you select Print, you will be prompted to enter your Holy Cross network username and password. Once entered, check the box to save your credentials to the keychain so you will not have to enter them again.
6. If you have Google Chrome installed, you need to set Chrome to default to printing Letter paper size. Just open Chrome, print a page, and click on the More Settings dropdown. Then change the Paper Size to Letter. Once you print from Chrome, it will default to printing in Letter size going forward.
