Dinand Library Circulation Policies: Reserves

Reserves

At Dinand Library, Reserves are located behind the Circulation Desk.

Each semester, all required course materials that the Library owns are placed on Reserve. Professors often bring their own personal copies for Reserve. Reserves can be books, DVDs, CDs, or other course materials.

To check out a Reserve item, patrons should come to the Circulation Desk with their professor’s name and the title of the item they are looking for. The Reserve item will be retrieved by a librarian or student worker.

Reserve items cannot be browsed on a shelf, but students can check if their professor has items on Reserve by visiting the Course Reserves page on the library website.

All Reserve items are In-Library Use Only and can be checked out for 3 hours. Only 1 Reserve item can be checked out at a time. Exceptions can be made with a supervisor’s approval.
