Circulation Policies: Reserves

Who can use the Library, who can borrow, what are the borrower's responsibilities

Reserves

Reserves

Reserve materials are located behind the circulation desk of Dinand Library.

Professors often put required materials on “reserve” so they can be accessed by students in the course any time the Library is open. Reserve materials can be books, articles, DVDs, CDs and other materials.

To check out reserve material a patron/student should provide the professor's name and the title of the speciffic item to the worker at the desk who will then retrieve the item for "in library use only."

Unlike regular stacks, reserve materials can’t be browsed. The student worker searches for the item and checks it out to a student.

Only 1 item can be checked out.

Reserve materials can be checked out to students for a 2 hours loan period (DVDs for longer).
