Library Book Club

The library welcomes you to our totally for funsies, non-academic, stress free book club! We wanted to create a community of book lovers to remind each other to take a break from the rigor of academics and curl up with a good book!

Next Meeting Date

Join us on Tuesday, February 11 at 5:00 p.m. in the Levis Browsing Room (basement of Dinand Library) for our February read-in. Bring any book you'd like and spend some time reading with the group!

Our February book is Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. Our discussion meeting is on Tuesday, February 25 at 5:00 p.m. You are welcome to attend whether or not you have read/finished the book, but since this title is a mystery keep in mind that you may get spoilers if you haven't finished the book!

Types of Meetings

We offer two different types of meetings to stay connected with Book Club. Each month we host a "Read In." This is a relaxed, informal space where you can join other book club members to sit and read whatever (non-academic) reading you'd like. We may chat a little about what we are reading but most of the time is spent enjoying your own book.

Our regular meetings are for discussing that month's book. Come share your thoughts about the book we read - positive, negative, or neutral! While it is not required that you have read/finished the book before the meeting, keep in mind that you may hear spoilers if you haven't finished reading.
