How To...Locate Picture Books at Dinand Library: Home

About this Guide

This guide highlights some of the children's picture books that are available at Dinand Library. Because these books are shelved according to Library of Congress Call Number, these titles are not all in one place in the library. Please ask a librarian if you need any help locating books.

While Dinand does not have a very large collection of children's picture books, Holy Cross students can check out books from the Worcester Public Library and other libraries in the Worcester area. In order to borrow books from the Worcester Public Library, HC students can get an ARC (Academic & Research Collaborative) card at the front desk in Dinand. Students will need to bring this card and their Holy Cross ID to check out books at area libraries.  You can also get a Worcester Public Library card if your mailing address is in Massachusetts (even if your permanent residence is elsewhere).  Simply bring an ID and proof of your mailing address to Worcester Public Library and apply for a card.  This card also allows you to place holds on books from any other public library in central and western Massachusetts.
