Tracing a Journal Citation

If you already have the citation information for an article, don't use the databases -- you can track it down directly through the eJournals portal!

All the information that you will need is in this citation. You can find some tips for using the eJournals portal here.  Can't find the journal in eJournals? Check the catalog to see if we have a paper copy in the library:

Finding Books in Other Libraries: WorldCat

Use WorldCat to discover what books other libraries have on your topic.  You can request to borrow these books for free through interlibrary loan.

Search Tips:

  • Be sure to check the "Find a Copy in the Library" section of a book record.  This will tell you whether or not the Holy Cross Libraries owns the book you are looking at.  If we do not own the book, click the "Illiad Interlibrary Loan" link to request the book through interlibrary loan

  • Be sure to give yourself enough time to request a book through interlibrary loan.  These items are shipped through postal mail, and generally take 5-10 business days to arrive at Holy Cross.
