REMINDER:  Not all books are scholarly! Pay attention to to the publisher and author credentials of books that you find, and look for evidence that they are based in research (ex., lots of citations). Additionally, pay attention to the date of publication. Remember that colonization persisted into the early 1990s in parts of Africa. Books more than 20-25 years older are likely to have outdated if not problematic information/perspectives.
